Awarded with the Environmental and Climate Honorary Award

After taking steps towards becoming an obvious partner for a sustainable Nordic steel industry, we have been awarded the Environment and Climate Council's honorary award in 2021.

The justification reads:

“The Environment and Climate Council’s honorary award 2021 is awarded to Carbomax for its work with industrial water treatment.
Carbomax is a pioneer in sustainable product use. Pollution in stormwater is a significant environmental problem and can affect natural ecosystems.

Carbomax has tackled this by starting up the first Swedish plant for water purification with a circular material. Here, a residual product from metal manufacturing is recycled into a new material with great environmental benefits. Carbomax thereby contributes to making the steel industry more sustainable. With its work, Carbomax contributes to making Västmanland an environmental and climate role model”
