A milestone reached in Scope 3

We’ve reached an important milestone in our sustainability work.

During Q1 2026, Carbomax achieved our target of covering 75% of the volume we handle and sell with Scope 3 data. This gives us a strong foundation to build knowledge, improve transparency and support better decisions.

But what is actually Scope 3?

Scope 3 includes all indirect emissions across the value chain, from production of materials to transport, processing and final use. This is especially important because the majority of our climate impact lies in Scope 3. Emissions from our own operations are only a small part of the total footprint compared with the impact generated across the wider value chain.

And so for us, all this work is essential. The more data we gather, the better we can compare products, support our clients with more sustainable choices and offer solutions with a lower CO₂ footprint. We’re also seeing a clear trend: demand for this type of transparency is increasing rapidly – and that’s something we very much welcome.

At the same time, it puts higher demands on the entire value chain. We already work closely with our transport partners and continue to raise expectations to ensure progress across all parts of our operations.

Our next target: 90% coverage. Step by step, we’re building the knowledge and transparency needed for a more sustainable metallurgical industry.
